Khyati School of Design is offering a series of 5 Material and Craft based workshops for design enthusiasts. These workshops are for anyone wanting to make a start in the field of design and craft. It’s also a great start to confidently learn how to explore new materials and express your ideas in them.
The word Ceramic is derived from a Greek word ‘Keramos’ meaning ‘potter’ or ‘pottery’. Keramos in turn was originated from a Sanskrit root – meaning ‘to burn’. Hence, the word Keramos was to infer ‘burned substance’ or ‘burned earth’.
As Ceramics are made of earthen materials, they are the most compatible products with the nature. Ceramics are the only materials which are nature friendly and therefore they are free from decays due to gradual natural impacts like corrosion, erosion, abrasion, thermal shocks, etc.
This workshop is going to be conducted by Mr. Resheph Christian of KEPH Design Studio. Resheph is a ceramist and an Accessory Designer from NIFT, Bhopal.
